New payment tech: Digital Global Pass uses direct operator billing

Digital Global Pass has used a new payment tech to design SMS+ and Internet+. The system is called direct operator billing and it is a result of collaborations between content developers, mobile operators and fintech firms. As such, consumers paying online do not have to rely on banking solutions such as credit or debit cards. This means that even unbanked and underbanked customers can process e-payments. They just need a mobile account and a device, such as a smartphone, tablet or PC, that is connected to the Internet. When they buy an item, charges are validated by their network service provider and added to their phone bill.
