Phone bill payment: how Digital Global Pass processes settlements

SMS+ and Internet+ are phone bill payment services. They have been designed by Digital Global Pass. How does the firm process transactions?

The fintech company has used the direct operator billing infrastructure to design its settlement methods. On the surface, this is what you are going to see: after choosing what you wish to purchase, you will be redirected to your network service provider’s website. There, on the payment page, you must validate the acquisition. Until you do that, you will not be billed for anything. Two clicks are required to allow a ‘consent to charge’. The amount of money that you will have to pay will be clearly displayed on the payment button and the two-factor authentication is mandatory.

After obtaining authorisation, the firm will make a request to your mobile operator for the consented amount, which is then deducted from your pre/post pay account. It is only after that that you will be able to enjoy your acquisition.

Thanks to this new concept, everyone having a smartphone can pay on the Web easily. Online shoppers do not have to worry about things such as data protection or cybersecurity since their personal details are not revealed on the Internet. This considerably enhances the safety of the payment process.
